The Croatian Academic Sports Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Hypertension League, the University of Zagreb, the European University Sports Association (EUSA), academic and other partners, will host the first conference “4 Healthy Academic Society”.
The conference will be held on June 8, 2023 in Poreč, as part of the national student finals UniSport Finals, and is a significant step towards creating a healthier and more active academic environment that will promote the physical and mental health of students, academics and professionals.
What are we preparing?
The academic community is based on scientific knowledge that contributes to the advancement of sport, health and all other aspects of the functioning of academic sport, and the Croatian Academic Sports Federation, as an umbrella organization, is the bearer of the development and use of scientific knowledge as a tool for improving all aspects that contribute to its quality.
Therefore, the main topics of the first edition of the conference “4 Healthy academic society” will be physical education, health and sport in the academic community, management and student status.
The aim of this international scientific gathering is to address a wide range of topics related to dual careers, health, physical activity of students and physical education at the university level, focusing on ways to promote healthier working and studying habits, as well as strategies for improving the overall well-being of the academic community. The topics and objectives are also aligned with the priorities of the European Council Resolution and the European Union Sports Plan for the period 2021-2024.
