Dr. Segedi is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology, where he serves as the Vice Dean for International Cooperation, Quality Assurance, and Enhancement. His academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to advancing both the theoretical and practical aspects of sports science.

Driving Innovation in Sports Science and Judo
Dr. Segedi’s doctoral dissertation, titled “Classification and Analysis of Competitive Judo Throwing Techniques in Men Based on Their Importance in Combat,” contributed significantly to the understanding and application of judo techniques in competition. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Segedi has had a distinguished career in judo, winning a gold medal at the Croatian Championships in Split in 2003. His work has greatly influenced the development of judo techniques, both in academic and practical contexts.

In addition to these courses, Dr. Segedi has also published research on applied kinesiology in combat sports, as well as developed specific programs for conditioning, technical-tactical preparation, and working with children in judo and karate.
