Expert in Endocrinology, Metabolic Health, and AI in Medicine
Dr. Baretić is a specialist in internal medicine, endocrinology, and diabetology at the Zagreb University Hospital Center and a professor at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine.
Her expertise spans a range of critical health topics, including:

✅ Type 1 diabetes and the use of AI in insulin pump therapy
✅ Obesity and its medical and social consequences
✅ Metabolic syndrome and preventive healthcare
As the Head of the Croatian Ministry of Health’s Referral Center for Obesity, recognized by the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), Dr. Baretić actively contributes to shaping obesity treatment and prevention strategies across Europe. She is also a co-leader of the Erasmus+ EDU-FIT project, which promotes health awareness at universities.
